“How long are you going to be gone?”

A few tears fell down the face of the half-angel. She had no idea that Jack would ask her any time soon. First, he didn’t seem like the kind of person to want to propose to someone that she hadn’t known all that long. Second, there was all that crap that is happening to them. Although, when she thought about it, that was probably the reason why he did it in the first place. For all they know, Alvah could show up out of nowhere and just finish them off.

“So what do you say?” Jack frowned. He thought that it was a bad sign that she wasn’t saying anything and just crying a little.
Of course, this brings Angelique back to reality. She had no idea that she had been out of it for so long. “Oh, of course I do!” The smile appears on Jack’s face as he puts the ring on her finger and then standing up. “I’m sorry that took so long. I was just shocked is all.”
“That’s ok.” He wraps his arms around her lovingly. “You said yes and that’s all that matters in my book.”
“This is just too cute,” Samandiriel cooed. “My little girl is engaged now. I can’t believe it. You two are so perfect together.”
“Thanks Dad.”
“When are you two getting married? I want to be the one that marries you two, so we should do it before I fight Alvah. You never know what might happen.”
“I really hope that you’ll be ok.”
“I know sweetie, but I’d be happy even if I died as long as Alvah won’t be able to get you.” After a short silence to take in everything once again, the angel speaks up again. “I’m going to go practice. Just tell me when you decide to tie the knot.” With that, he walked out to continue what he was doing before.
“I’m going to go get you want a wand now.”
“How long are you going to be gone?” Jack asked. He actually didn’t want her to leave him especially not now. He didn’t know what he would do if he lost her.
“I’m not sure.”
“Well, why aren’t you sure? It’s not going to be an hour or two?”
“Jack, for the sake of making sure that you are safe for as long as we both shall live, I’m going to go and find one of the most powerful wands every created.”
“What wand?”
“I’m going to find Merlin’s wand.”
“Merlin as in ‘the Merlin’?”
She nodded. “I’m just worried that another demon might come after us even if Alvah is defeated. This way, you’ll be just as powerful as me if not more. The only problem is that it has been lost for centuries.”
Jack frowned, “Does that mean what I think it means?”
“I’ll probably be searching for it for about a month. If I can’t find it in that time, I’ll just find another powerful one that I know the location of and give you that one.”
“What can’t you just do that?” His grip on her tightened.
“My dad might die from this battle. He may not be able to protect us after this. I’m just a half-angel. My powers can only take me so far. What if a demon like Alvah comes up again? If you had the wand and proper training, we could protect ourselves with our powers combined.”
“I understand. I just don’t want to lose you.”
“I know how you will always know that I’m ok.”
“How’s that?”
“Dad!”
“Yes?” the white haired angel asked as he came back in. “Did You make your decision?”
“I have. Dad, do you have those special wedding rings?”
“You mean the ones that can...?”
“Yeah. They are going to be our wedding rings.”
He went over and grabbed them out of a cabinet. “Here they are.”
“What do they do?” Jack questioned.
“They allow you to always know if your soul mate is ok mentally and physically. This way you will know if I’m ok. They also have the ability to teleport you to where your lover is.”
“I guess that makes this a little bit better.”
“You don’t have to worry about me, ok? I’ll be fine. I promise.”
After the ceremony was completed, she teleported herself to another part of Europe. She just happened to know a wizard that might have a clue on where the wand might be. Angelique entered the library that he owned and smiled at seeing her old friend who was now...old.
“Hello Archer. It’s fine a long time.”
“Faida, is that you?”
“Yes, but I go by my birth name now. My name is Angelique.”
“Does that mean...?”
“I am no longer under his control.”
“That’s good. I always hated him. I can’t believe he let us be friends.”
“Same.”
“What can I do for you?”
“I’m actually looking for something very special. I’m not sure if you have any clue to where it is at, but you’re the only one that I know that might know something about it.”
“And that is?”
“I’m looking for Merlin’s wand.”
“Why are you looking for that?”
“I want to give it to my husband for protecting. I already have him learning protecting spells, but that isn’t going to do much without a want to focus his energy.”
“Well, I may be just a librarian now, but I can help you.”

Jack was not enjoying himself back at the cottage. He was lonely, he was worried, and he just wanted his new wife back in his arms. The fact that he let her go was still surprising him. Although, he really did need to trust her. She was a half-angel after all, and she did make a promise. He knew that she would do whatever it took to keep that promise.
The angel walked back into the cottage when the sun was going down and found a very sad and worried Jack. Anyone’s eyes could see that. The Lebanese man was sitting at the table with a spell book in front of him. His eyes looked like they weren’t even paying attention to the parchment, and his head was being held up by his hand.
“Is everything ok?”
Jack didn’t even look up when he answered. “I’m just worried about Angelique.”
“You don’t have to worry about her. She’ll be fine. Alvah isn’t going to find her thanks to that engagement ring that you gave her.”
“I know. It’s just that I know how he can be. Yes, you both have known him longer, but I’ve been hurt by him first hand. I could see everything that he was capable of when I was able to look in his eyes before he started.”
“If they did find her, I would go to her as soon as she knew. I’m not going to let him ruin another love. Do you want to know why I gush over you two so much?”
“Why’s that?”
“You do remind me a lot of Elizabeth and I. Whenever I look at you, I see a younger me, and whenever I look at Angelique, I see her mother. The way that you two act now was just like we acted. That’s why I have to protect you two no matter what.”
Angelique was right on how long it would take to find the magickal wand. Of course, the wand wasn’t the only thing that she brought back. She brought back some very important information that she had found out.

Notes

Well, this isn't as late as what it was. I'm going to try to write a lot tomorrow because there is no school. I'm might write up the next chapter. I'm surprised that I didn't put the important information in this chapter. I was thinking of ending with it, but changed my mind. This info will be really important for when the finally showdown comes.

@ironi1234
I will if I can come up with something for them or their daugther like my sister told me too. I do have an idea for a story that you might like since you liked this. Of course, I want that one to be longer. It will be a super power one isn't of supernatural, but I feel that if you like the story line in this you might like that one because I feel like they are closer than my other stories. I just need to come up with her powers and one of her sisters powers because I've only thought of one.
