This Love Was Accidental
Chapter 14

School was okay, I got through it fine without any questions about why I was so happy and giggly and attached to my phone. Jack text me throughout the day, just cute little messages and occasionally the odd dirtier one. I couldn't wait to get round to his after this gig, I had quite a night planned for us. I was getting excited just thinking about it but I had to calm down and get this gig over with. Don't get me wrong I was excited for it, but I was more desperate to see Jack.
Time just wasn't passing fast enough, singer after singer was going up and there was still two acts left before I could sing. I was growing impatient, I just wanted to see Jack. Finally it was my turn to go up, I faked enthusiasm as I skipped on stage with my guitar and shouted 'hey guys' into the mic.
'How are you all tonight ya bunch of beautiful people', the crowd cheered and I took that as meaning they were all fine and I also took it as my cue to start playing. I began with a song most of them would know, which was all the small things by Blink. That really got them going. I then proceeded to play my own songs that I had written, and came up with guitar parts for. These went down just as well as the blink cover.
I was about to move on to sing my last song of the night, when I realised that I hadn't really engaged with the crowd. I stepped forward into the crowd and that's when I came face to face to him. Jacks ex, Vic, was here.
'Well look who we have here?', Vic slurred. I just made my way out of the crowd and back up onto stage. I felt sick. Vic had been here the whole time watching me.
'Guys, I know I said I had one more song for you. But I'm not really feeling to well. I think I'm gonna call it a night. Thanks for listening to me!', I said quietly into the mic as the crowd made noises of sympathy and disappointment. I smiled at the crowd avoiding Vic's eyes which were locked on mine and ran of stage and far away from Vic.

hey babe, that's me done. I know this might sound stupid but can you come get me, I don't wanna walk to yours on my own?

Okay, I'll wait outside. x
I really needed air so I ran outside and leant against the wall. I had 10 minutes to kill before Jack got here, I had 10 minutes of trying to avoid Vic but of course Vic just had to come outside. He staggered menacingly towards to me, his eyes like a wild animals. He had a bottle in his hand and I was terrified about what he planned to do with it. Vic was right up in my face now, my back against the wall.
'Jack is mine', Vic snarled at me.
'But he isn't, he's mine. And he'll be here soon to get me so excuse me', I said bravely trying to push past Vic. It didn't work he just slammed me against the wall, pain shot through my back.
'Youre not going anywhere!', Vic roared. 'Jack is mine and if you won't willingly leave, I'll just have to get rid of you', he said quietly before raising the bottle in his hand and bringing it down on my head causing the glass to shatter and for me to cry out in pain and fall to the floor.
The pain was horrendous, the tears were streaming down my cheeks. I could feel blood dribbling slowly down my face as things starting to go black. Vic wasn't done yet, he continued to deliver several kicks and stomps to other parts of my body. My arms, my legs, my chest, everywhere was sore. I couldn't make a sound or move anymore. I could do nothing to stop the beatings or to show how much agony I was in. Slowly the beatings stopped, Vic took one last glance at me before spitting on me and walking away.
He walked away and left me here bleeding on the cold, hard ground. My head was fuzzy and my vision was going. A numb feeling was taking over my body replacing the agony with nothing.
I was blacking out, and now everything went black.
