Chapter 4
“Fuck… How do I talk to him? You’re so stupid Alex…” he muttered to himself.
It was Tuesday. And Alex’s first day of work was today, which meant he had to be near Jack all day. He was excited to be near the boy, but scared shitless to talk to him. Jack thought he had a girlfriend. And he obviously did not. He needed to make sure Jack knew that.
Alex had called Tay to drive him to work, since he didn’t have a vehicle. They arrived, and Alex tensed up when he saw Jack through the window.
“Just relax. Explain to him that I’m not your girlfriend, and that you’re bisexual. Maybe try and flirt a little?” Tay said with a smirk.
“I don’t know Tay… I’ve never flirted with a guy before! I’m fucking clueless with this.” Alex replied with a sigh.
“Stop whining and get out of my car bitch!” Tay nudged Alex’s side with a giggle. “You’ll be fine. Call me if you need a ride home? Okay? I love you loser.”
“Love you too Tay.”
Alex walked into the Coffee Shop, and spotted Jack standing there, just staring at some paper work of some sort. Alex decided to go up and talk to him.
“Hey Jack.” He said, walking up a little closer, and a little shyly.
“Oh hey Alex… First day of work! You excited?” Jack said, enthusiastically.
“I guess so. Im nervous.”
“What for? It really isn’t that bad.” That’s all you know.
“I kind of need to talk to you about something…” Alex said with his thumbs twiddling.
“Oh? Alright. What is it?”
“Well, you know that girl I was with yesterday..?” Alex looked down at his shoes.
“O-oh yeah… I think ive seen her around before… Weird.”
“Yeah she goes to our school. Her name is tay. But anyways, we aren’t dating. She is my best friend, actually. Haha… I’m bisexual.” He saw Jack hop a little.
“Oh! I totally thought you two were. Haha, silly me. And sweet. Me too.” Jack responded, kind of leaning against the counter with a smirk. God, his lips were so cute. And those eyes.
Alex kind of gazed off into Jacks eyes. And Jack just let it happen. He knew he was falling for this kid. Little did he know, that in 8 months. His life would change…

Alex and Jack gave each other little stares through their entire shift. And they didn’t mind it at all. Jack really wanted to offer Alex a ride home possibly. Get to know him.
“Uh hey Alex?”
“Yeah Jack?”
“I could uh, give you a ride home, ya know, if you need one…” Jack stated shyly.
“I would really appreciate that. Thank you.” Alex was screaming inside. Oh my god he was so sweet.
Jack led Alex out to his car, and they both got in. Jack turned on some Nirvana, and they started driving in silence. Jack wanted to speak so badly, but he didn’t know what to say. Surprisingly, Alex spoke up first.
“So…are you in a relationship?” He asked, with a nervous tone.
“No, I’m not. And I’m guessing you’re not either?” Jack said with a grin.
“No I’m not Haha.” Alex responded with a giggle.
Jack was overly excited. He couldn’t help but let a small smile escape, and Alex caught it. And he smiled too. Jack was really starting to like him. He was very cute, and seemed very nice. Jack was interested in getting to know this boy. Maybe take him out sometime.
“So, where do I turn?”
“Down Thames street. It’s the 3rd house to the left.”
“Alrighty.”
Jack turned down Thames, and came to this 2 story, very nice looking house.
“Thanks for the ride home, Jack.” Alex said with a smile.
“Here, give me your phone…” Jack said. Alex was confused.
“O-oh alright..?” Alex handed his phone to Jack, and he typed something in it, and handed it back.
“My number. If you ever want to like, chill or something. Just text me.”
AHHHHHHHHHH.
“Will do.”
After Alex got out of Jacks car, he went into his house, and up to his room. He wanted to think about what happened today. Jack gave him his number, and told him that he wanted to chill sometime. Holy shit. What if he had a chance? Jack was really sweet, and Alex was starting to like him. What if Jack didn’t think the same way, though? What if he thought of him as a friend…?
Alex decided to text Jack, to make sure the number worked.
To Jack: “Jack?” Alex let out a breath and hit send. Hearing a beep almost immediately.
From Jack: “I’m guessing this is Alex?”
To Jack: “Yeah, it’s me. Haha”
From Jack: “Does this mean you want to hangout right now? Haha”
Oh my god, what do I say?
To Jack: “Oh um, I was just checking if the number worked… You can come over if you want.”
From Jack: “Ill be over in 10?”
He’s coming over. Asdfghjkl oh my god what do I wear, I need to clean…
To Jack: “See you then.”
Alex jumped up from his bed, and ran over to his wardrobe, grabbing a pair of jeans and a glamour kills shirt. He traipsed downstairs after changing his clothes. He started to straighten out random little things and vacuum, kind of being a little frantic. He wanted to make sure Jack didn’t think his house was a pig sty. He ran back upstairs and slid down the hallway while trying to get to his room. He was so clumsy. He got back up and ran into his bedroom, throwing around random clothing items and straightening out his CD stack. He put his guitar away, and heard a knock at the door. Holy shit he was here. Alex ran downstairs, and opened the door. Jack was standing there, with his arm against the side of the door, and his other hand in his pocket.
“Hey.” Alex breathed heavily, because he had just been running down the stairs.
“Do I make you out of breath? Haha joking.” Jack smiled and Alex let him in.
“So… What do ya want to do? You could, spend the night I guess… My parents aren’t home.”
“Oh?” Jack said with a joking wink.
“I DIDN’T MEAN TO MAKE IT SOUND THAT WAY OH MY GOD LOL” Alex was giggling like an idiot.
“Haha I knew what you meant. I’d love to spend the night.” Jack answered back.
“Awesome.” Alex let out a sigh and smiled. Tonight was going to be interesting.
