I love being so young at heart, it makes playing with my granddaughter so much more enjoyable. Izzy had so much energy like Jack did when he was her age and she has a huge imagination like her mother does. I only hope Izzy will be an incredible person when she's older, being better than all of us in the All Time Low family.
"Hey Jack, our granddaughter wants you to come over to play," Alex said as I answered the phone.
"You know I'm down to play with little Izzy. I'll be over in five," I told him before hanging up.
"Dad," Alex peeped up at he stood in the doorway. He was thirteen now and I was sure he was starting to like girls by this point. He was a great kid, just like Jack.
"Sup bud, I'm about to head down the street to the Gaskarths', do you want to tag along," I asked him.
"Yeah, I like going to see Noelle," I knew Alex liked Noelle, but she was almost eleven and I knew she most likely didn't like boys yet. Plus I highly doubt Alex will let another son of mine to hook up with his last daughter so young. But Alex and Noelle were best friends and I knew that there is a small chance they'd end up being like Jack and Stella, hopefully not with a baby at a young age though.
"Grandpa Jack, you gots to hold out your pinky," Izzy corrected my poor tea party etiquette yet again. She had Alex and I in tiaras and had put some of her dress up makeup on me and Alex too, making us look really silly.
"Sorry Princess Isabelle I'll try better," I replied in a high pitch girly voice, making Alex laugh.
"There's my little granddaughter," Juli walked into the room, as soon as she saw Alex and I she started laughing, "Aw Izzy you made Grandpa Alex and Grandpa Jack look so pretty."
"They had to for the tea party, Gramma Juli," Izzy told her, "Would you like to join us Gramma?"
"Not right now, Izzy, I need to grab your sheets from you bed to clean them," Juli told her before kissing her forehead. Just then Noelle walked in.
"I could play, Izzy," Noelle offered.
"Please come sit with us, Auntie Noelle," Izzy beamed., "Uncle Alex!"
Izzy ran over to my youngest boy and wrapped herself around his leg. She was so cute. Alex picked her up and rested her on his hip as as he could.
"Do you mind if I play too, Izzy," he asked her, "I like playing with Noelle and I love playing with my favorite niece too."
"Of course you can play tea party with us Uncle Alex," Izzy kissed his cheek before he sat her down and she got places set for her aunt and uncle.
"She's a bundle of energy," Alex commented to me quietly, "How does Jack keep up with her?"
"Easy, I get down to her level and play with her," Jack said as he made his presence known to us.
"Daddy," Izzy shrieked as she ran to Jack and jumped into his waiting arms.
"Did you have fun with your grandpas, Izzy," he asked her.
"Yeah Daddy," she replied with a huge smile, "I made them really pretty and we played tea party."
"I see that," Jack chuckled when he saw mine and Alex's made up faces, "Next time go easy on the lipstick and eye shadow, Izzy."
"She a good kid, Jack," Alex commented as Jack sat Izzy down so she could clean up her toys.
"Thanks, we work really hard to make sure she stays on the good path," Jack said, "Thanks for watching her for us, Alex."
"It's no problem. How's Stella doing," he asked.
"She's got told to be off her feet as much as possible now that the first trimester is almost over. Plus she can't lift anything over ten pounds. She and I are still worried about her making it through this," Jack told us, "Stell's been having nightmares about. I'm not overly worried about her not making it since she did very well while she was pregnant with Isabelle, but with twins it's a whole new ball game."
"Let us know if you ever need help with keeping her happy and healthy, Jack," I offered to him, "We don't want to lose her either and we want to make sure she and the twins come out of this happier and very healthy and safe."
