As we were sitting in the loft above the auditorium, we heard the door open, and watched as the all the lights turned on. Our eyes went wide, as we looked at eachother.

"Fuck." I whispered. "Come on, we gotta get down." I said, beggining to climb down the ladder. Alex followed, and as soon as his feet hit the floor we started running.

"Hey. What do you boys think you're doing." We heard someone shout, but not bothering to turn around. I grabbed Alex's hand, and we exited the school. We ran until we reached the park near our houses. We were both out of breath, but we couldn't stop the fit of laughters that broke through. Alex was on the ground now, as he laughed. It was a beautiful sound. I ran over to the swing, and sat down, still laughing.

"That was awesome." Alex said, as he settled down, making his way to the swing next to me. I nodded in agreement, and smiled. "I hope my dad doesn't find out about this." Alex said, his smile suddenly dissappearing from his face. I frowned.

"If your home is that bad, maybe you should stay somewhere else." I said, grabbing his hand. Alex looked at me, his eyebrow raised.

"Where would I stay, I just moved here a few weeks ago. I don't know anyone." He said, looking down at our hands.

"Well, you can stay with me for a while." I offered. Alex's head snapped up. His eyes were wide.

"Are you serious?" He asked, hopeful. I nodded, and the smile reappeared to his face.

"Well, I have to talk to my mom first. I don't know what she'll think." I said, furrowing my brow as I thought of the possibilities. Alex nodded. After an hour, or so, we walked home. I said goobye to Alex warily, as he dissapeared into his house. I hoped that nothing bad would happen to him.
