At lunch, I introduced Alex to Rian, Zack, Flyzik, and Collusy. They didn't take much interest in him, and returned to their talk about last nights football game. I frowned, and then brought Alex to a differant table. My stomach was growling loudly, as I opened my lunch bag pulling out a sandwhich. I mowed it down in minutes, and then chugged the small chocolate milk that came with it. Alex did the same with his lunch.

"Hey, come here. I have to show you something." I said, getting up from the table, and leading Alex outside of the cafeteria. We walked to the audotorium, and I pushed the door open. I made sure no one was in there, before I allowed him to come in. When it was all clear, we ran to the stage.

"What is it you want to show me?" He asked, as we sat on the edge. I smiled, getting up, and helping him up.

"This way." I said, leading him to a ladder behind the stage. Alex looked at it, unsure if it was safe or not. "Come on." I said, hopping onto the ladder, beginning to climb. I reached the top, and saw that Alex was still at the bottom. "Come on, Lex. Climb." I shouted, and Alex obliged, beginning his way up. I moved over, giving him room to get all the way up. We sat on the ledge, letting our legs dangle. Alex smiled.

"This is amazing." He said, looking out over the dimmed audotorium. "Do you remember last week, when I came to your house the first time?" Alex asked randomly. I nodded my head, remembering it perfectly. "The reason why I came over was because I told my mom that I was gay. She didn't take it lightly." My breath hitched in my throat, as I looked at him in disbelief.

"You're gay?" I asked. I was shocked. He nodded. "I'm sorry about your mom not taking the news well. She'll come around, I promise." I said, wrapping my arm around his shoulder.

"It's not her I'm worried about." He said. I could feel him start to shake slightly, and I pulled him closer to me. "My dad blames me for my brothers death." Alex said suddenly.

"W-What? Why?" I asked. I knew it was none of my business, but I was curious.

"Because he was coming to pick me up from school. Some idiot ran a red light, and hit him. He died on impact." Alex said, his voice cracking. Then he started to cry. "I just wish that i had taken the fucking bus." He said.

"Listen to me. It wasn't your fault. It was the idiot who ran the red light. People are so-" I was cut off by Alex's lips connecting with mine. They were so soft. I was so shocked, that I forgot to kiss him back. He pulled away.

"I'm sorry." He said, turning away from me. My stomach was filled with butterflies.

"Don't be, that was nice." I said, smiling. Alex looked back at me, a blush clear on his face. I leaned down and kissed him, and he kissed back. It was the best feeling in the world, and I didn't want it to end.
