My name is Jack. Jack Barakat. I'm 15 years old, and I'm a freshman in highschool. I live in Baltimore, Maryland. I hate it so much here. I'm constantly bullied for being 'different'. By different, I mean gay. I'm the only openly gay kid at my school, surprisingly. They need someone for a punching bag, may as well use the gay kid. My home life isn't much better. My father left when I was young, and my mother blames me. I was the last born, out of three, before he left. There's me, Joe, and May. Joe and May are off in college, and I'm here alone, stuck with my mother who doesn't even love me. If she does, she has a sucky way of showing it. All she ever does is yell at me. My only friends are Rian, Zack, Matt, and Vinny. They don't like to hangout with me much, though. I'm depressed. I have been for over four years, but no one even cares. Some days, it's so bad, that I comtemplate killing myself. I don't know what's stopping me, but something obviously is. I think maybe it's my favorite band, Blink-182, that's keeping me here. Their lyrics just speak to me, in a way that none of my therapists can. I don't know though. Maybe one of these days, I'll be succesful at taking my own life. Let's just see how everything goes.
