Today we arrived in Vegas. I was going to be in for a world of heartache because Alex has no memory of being my boyfriend and he'll hook up in front of me and I'll no power against him. I can't hold him accountable for cheating on me when he has no idea he's dating me. I was so fucked.
"You alright, Kenzie," Matt asked as I brought my backpack into the room I was sharing with him in the suite we got at the Hard Rock.
"No, I'm bracing myself to have my heart crushed even more than it already is," I told him as I sat down on my bed.
"You're worried he's going to hook up with someone while we're in Vegas during Jack's party," he asked.
"I know he has no memory of being in a serious relationship, but it doesn't change the fact that it hurts for me to know he might hook up with some slut tonight," I told him.
"Make him hook up with you," Matt suggested.
"Are you insane? I am a trigger to ruining his chance of remembering anything. I am no about to lose my boyfriend," I snapped at him.
"If you hook up with him at his own pace you won't be in a bind. He might remember you and him having had sex in the past and he'll stay close to you to fill in the blanks," Matt replied.
"If I ruin him, I am going to kill you," I told him.
I showed up at Jack's pool party in a simple pastel blue bikini under a white sundress. I wasn't in the mood yet to try seducing Alex. I was only interested in keeping cool in the Vegas heat.
"Hey Kenzie," Alex greeted me, "You look really nice."
"Thanks," I replied before I took a sip of my water.
"I wanted to know if maybe later at Jack's after party if you'd like to be my escort for the night," he asked in my ear so I could hear him clearly over Jack's party.
"You make it sound like I'm a hooker," I told him.
"I didn't mean it like that though," he replied, "I'm a little tongue tied around you at the moment."
"I'll be your date tonight. Get me from my room before the party starts," I told him.
"Thank you, Kenzie," he kissed my cheek and ran off to hang with Jack.
"That went rather smoothly if you'd ask me," I looked over and found Josh from You Me At Six Standing next to me.
"Hi Josh," I greeted him.
"I see he's still lost in his mind when it comes to you, love" he noticed as I watched Alex watching me, I could see the jealousy in his eyes. He remembered something new; his crush on me. He was picking up steam because of me. I hope he doesn't lose his traction and everything is wiped from his memory.
"He's jealous that you're talking to me. He's remembered that he liked me," I told him.
"You don't sound happy about it," Josh replied.
"I'm worried he'll get it back too fast and loses it all for good and I'll never have him back," I told him.
"Keep at his pace. Act as normal as possible. Get romantic with him when he makes the move first," Josh advised.
Josh walked off and Austin came over to see me.
"He's getting better," Austin noticed as he saw Alex glaring at him too for talking to me.
"He got his mean green monster back," I told him, "He's jealous."
"That's Alex for you, I guess," Austin smiled to himself, "How are you handling everything?"
"How do you even know about it," I asked him.
"Jack and Mat filled me in along with Mike and Vic," he replied.
"Well, I'm in a depression because I can't kiss him, hug him, or sleep in the same bunk as him. I am just dying from the lack of sex in the relationship too. I feel like I'm on a lone sailboat lost at sea and the waves are keeping me from shore," I told him.
"An ocean reference, no wonder I'm friends with you, Kenzie," Austin chuckled.
"What should I do, Austin," I asked him.
"When he comes and flirts with you and kisses you again, you kiss him back and let him lead the way. If he's lost, let him find his way home by following his heart," Austin advised.
"Thanks, Austin, you're a great friend," I replied and half hugged him.
"Don't mention it Kenzie. Let me know how the entire Vegas adventure goes for you," he replied before going to hang with Alex.
I smiled over at Alex and waved. He waved back and smiled too. I got out my phone and sent him a quick text.
I went to my room, my shoulder is getting to me along with the heat. I'll see you tonight at the after party. :)

So I just read what you have of this, and I'm sad to see it was never finished. :(
It's a bit rushed at some parts, but I really like the concept of it. It surprised me that you had him gain his memory back kind of quickly; I thought for sure the twist was going to be he was going to lose it again or something. I found it a bit odd how that was kind of the plot for the first half, and then this second part kind of diverted from it. But I really like what you have of it, it's really sweet. :)
If you ever choose to finish it, I will be here to read. Although I think a final chapter wrap-up would totally work for this, if you're struggling for inspiration. Just a final update to conclude it.
