I was freaked out by seeing Kyle outside the other night. Right now I was waiting for Alex to come pick me up for lunch today. I was so nervous that Kaden and Kyle would show up and try to hurt Alex or take me away to Dimetri. I wanted to keep Alex out of my dark world as long as I could. I knew I had to tell soon, for his own safety.

Alex finally pulled up and I went outside to greet him. I was really happy to be going out with him, though. I loved being with him. He made me feel so alive when I was actually not. Alex got out of his car and I walked over into his open arms. I leaned back in the embrace and Alex kissed me quickly.

"Ready for lunch," he asked.

"Yeah," I replied.

Alex and I drove out to a local cafe not too far from Ivy's. I kept an eye out for Kyle and Kaden since they could attack us at any moment. I was scared for Alex's sake since he's human and can't stand a chance in a fight against them. I can't either since I've never had a drop of human blood in my brief vampire life.

Alex and I got a sandwich and he had a coffee while I had a water. I barely touched my sandwich because I saw Dimetri across the street at the coffee shop pretending to read the newspaper.

"Are you alright, Sophie? You seem distracted," Alex asked.

"Yeah I'm fine, sorry," I replied nervously.

"Well there is a reason why I asked you out again so early," he started, "I wanted to know if you would be my girlfriend."

"I'd be honored, Alex," I replied. Alex got up from his seat and kissed me softly before returning to his seat.

After lunch, we walked over to Alex's car when I saw Kyle and Kaden waiting by it. I instantly started to freak out. I did not want to deal with them right now in front of Alex. He and I just became boyfriend and girlfriend.

"It's so sweet of you to allow us the privilege to meet your boyfriend, Sophie," Kaden smirked menacingly at me.

"Leave us alone," I snapped at him.

"Now that's no way to treat your family, Sophie," I felt chills run up my spine at hearing his voice; Dimetri.

"You are not my family. Leave me alone," I yelled at him.

"Come on Sophie, we should get out of here," Alex pulled me along to his car.

"I don't think so, lover boy," Kyle stood in Alex's way and Kaden was in mine.

"Has she told you what she truly is yet," Dimetri taunted.

"Sophie, what's going on," Alex asked.

"She's not human, Alex. She's not even alive. You have have been sharing kisses and dates with a walking corpse," Dimertri continued to mess with us.

"Sophie, he can't be telling the truth," Alex looked hurt. I was getting pissed off at Dimetri, Kaden, and Kyle.

"I'm sorry Alex. I think I put you in danger," I told him, trying not to cry.

"How sweet, she's in love with a human," Dimetri continued to taunt us, "There's one issue with that, Sophie. You can't be in love with humans, they're our food source."

I was ripped from Alex by Kaden and Kyle. I tried to fight them off but they were too strong.

"Alex, go to the candle shop off main street. Ivy works there. Tell her to get help for me, that Dimetri took me," I told him.

"Sophie, I'll free you. I promise," Alex ran to his car and took off.

"Now, my darling Sophie, I believe it's time for us to make a coven," Dimetri let out a demented laugh before Kaden and Kyle covered my face.

I was being taken away from Alex. I sincerely loved him and I was afraid that I scared him off. If I lost him, I will walk into the sun and truly die. My life is nothing without him.
