Maxine’s POV
Matt has been pretty down since Leda died, and that's understandable. I just hate Damon for that, Leda has made this journey really fun and made some fun out of long ride. Like the time that we all drank coffee and made us all shake, Matt ended up shaking the worst and the only thing Leda could think of was to slap him, it was so funny but then Matt ended up breaking Razor’s cell phone case since he fell on it. She was mad but we all laughed it off.
I had also gotten another text message from the mysterious messenger. This one came today actually.

From: Unknown Number
matt must miss leda doesn’t he? Well leT Him mourn in peacE, it took a while for me to be happy after my brother. that's okay though. everything works out in the end. we miss you very much maxine.

Martin, he’s been really quiet lately for some reason.
“Martin what’s wrong?” I ask him, not getting an answer.

“Martin there is something up your ass, now spit it out!” Razor yells back at us.
“No!” He yells back in a rough tone of voice.
“I’m dead serious Martin don’t make me come back there and get out forcefully because I will park this car and grab it! Don’t think I won’t!”
“Do you honestly want to know?” Martin asks.
“Yeah, I really do Martin. I don’t like to see you so mad all the time.” I say.
“There’s another girl involved between us!” He yells and everyone turns to look at him.
I don’t say a word, I just cry.
“Martin are you fucking serious?” Razor asks, pulling over the car on the side of the Idaho highway.
“Yes I am!” He yells while I just push myself near Matt.
“You promised Martin! You promised Jack and I you would never hurt me!” I cry.
“And I broke it. Maxine look at yourself, you’re acting like a little kid!” He yells at me.
“Martin you know Maxine has been hurt one too many times. First her dad leaves, the reason why we even came on this journey was to find him! Then Justin left her, we met Damon and he fucked her up in the past and we met him on this trip twice, first time ending up in the hospital and needing medication so she won’t lose her sanity, and now this! You just have to break her little heart in two. She fucking loves you and wants to be your everything! You at least have your girlfriend, I lost mine and I loved her with everything I ever had when she was here but guess what she’s gone and I can’t see her unless I’m dead or go to her grave and you just had to go out and cheat on her. Who are you cheating on her with? Because I’m not afraid to call her and tell her that he has another girlfriend. Tell me Martin! Tell me!” Matt yells at Martin.
“Sky.” He says, my own ex-best friend, that’s amazing.
“Oh so you’re cheating on her with her own ex-friend. Oh that’s shallow Martin. I thought I knew you! The old Martin wouldn’t do that. The old Martin would be cuddling his girlfriend and sharing kisses not fucking cheating on the girl he swore he loved. Who are you? Who are you and why are you here?” Matt yells.
“People change Matt can’t you see that! I’m not the man I was before and I got older and I changed! I grew older and I found the new me. Now respect it!”
“I’m not going to respect you! I’m not your pet and I can’t put up with it! I wish this was a dream Martin! I wish this was just a dream and that it will work out like in the movies but it won’t! It won’t fucking work! I know people change but I didn’t know they changed that fast! You’re just another broken promise! I was brought up just for you to bring me down! You broke me again! I don’t want to be numb again! Thank you Martin, thank you for bringing down!” I scream at him. “I finally found trust for the first time in a guy in years! You broke my trust Martin, you broke it, you broke it, you really fucking broke it! I can’t believe I still have feelings for you even though you’re cheating on me!” I scream at him, telling nothing but the truth. I really do still love him, he’s been nothing but kind to me and even though he cheated on me I still have feelings for him. Martin you are like candy, you are the worst thing to have but I keep coming back to you so I can still have that sweet taste of goodness.
He doesn’t say anything at all, doesn’t even look me in the eyes. If I said something wrong tell me but not saying anything won’t do me good. Martin say something, please say something.
Martin’s POV
I just don’t know what to say, Maxine still has feelings for me even after I cheated on her. Maybe she does love me. I have doubted her love from the start, I knew she said she loved me but I was just so lost. Learning now that she still loves me I go up to her and kiss her in the most innocent way possible, showing all the emotion I’ve been feeling for the past few days. She thankfully kisses back. I only cheated on her because I was lost and confused, so Sky was my only option. Before we left I got her number. I’ll break up with her while Maxine is sleeping.
“I’m so sorry Maxine, be my everything?” I ask her, finishing the kiss and quoting my own song.
“Yes.” She says and I hold her close to my heart. I’ll never let her go for anyone.
“I love you.” I say.
“I love you too.” She responds.
“Now that you two are back together can we please get on the road. Kevin is starting Warped soon and told me we get to come with.” Razor says to us.
“You are fucking kidding me!” Matt says excitedly.
“I’m not. Martin you’re driving, I haven’t slept in two days and if I don’t sleep I’m going to be a bigger bitch later.”
“Fine, but get Kevin to hook me up with something. I’ll tell you what later.” I say wanting to surprise Maxine with something later that tour.
“When I’m done sleeping, oh and find a Sonic. I want a milkshake from there!” She yells at me, classic Razor. Man you have to like her, then again most people hate putting up with her. Still Razor is Razor and that is all she will ever be, but she will always be a friend of mine.
“Whatever you say Razor, whatever you say. Would you like fries with that?”
“No I want mozzarella sticks and fries and tater tots. If I just give you the credit card can you just order me one of everything that isn’t chicken related actually?” She says to me.
“Oh god, will you ever run out of money?”
“No because it’s my daddy’s money. In that case no because he makes more money then you will ever have in your whole career in music and in retirement.” She says, being a smart ass.
“Have I ever told you that you’re a smart ass?” I ask her.

I just shake my head and drive wherever the takes us, having a fine time just enjoying every single moment with my girlfriend and our friends.

I have more chapters already written but I don't mind going back and to change them up a bit if you have some ideas.Also about Razor not eating chicken, my friend Nickie doesn't eat it either and I like to try to relate Razor to Nickie.
