Alex Gaskarth is my Best Friend

Alex’s POV

What had I just done! I kissed her ! I kissed her! I ruined everything! I know it. Dammit.

I played it cool as I removed my lips from hers, her eyes were wide open in shock.

“I’m so sorry!” I tried even though I really wasn’t I was happy as could be, I finally kissed her. She placed a peck on my lips and simply turned around back to the concert. I didn’t know whether or not that was an answer or was that her cold shoulder. I sighed and continued holding her. We swayed back and forth as the concert ended and we exited.

Our mom picked us up and gushed and questioned us. She held my hand but didn’t talk to me. Once we got to her house her mother rushed us up into her room. She closed her door and looked at me.

“Finally!” She mumbled walking towards me.

“Alex I had the best time ever!!” She said kissing my cheek. Was she going to pretend the kiss didn’t happen. I should want that shouldn’t I?

“Lets go to bed, I’m so tired.” She said tossing off her clothes and jumping in bed.

“Are you going to put on other clothes?” I mumbled awkwardly.

“Come to bed.” She whined, and I listened.

“Wait is this gross?” She asked awakening alittle more.

“No...” I said doing the same and jumping next to her. She giggled and cuddle up next to me.

“You made my birthday extra special.” She mumbled. I smiled, well that was good right? I wrapped my arms around her and started to drift off to sleep. I heard her say something.

“I don’t regret the kiss.” I could feel her smile as I slipped into dreamland.

Capri’s POV

I woke up next to Alex like most of the time, but this morning I felt self conscious, nervous, panicking, and I don’t know what else. I wanted to tell someone what happened and how I was feeling! I needed to call a girlfriend.... Wait, Jack!

I quietly slipped Alex’s arm off me and smiled at him. I slipped on a robe and grabbed my cell phone. I tip toed to my bathroom and sat on my sink. I clicked 4 and the speed dial began to ring.

“My best friend!” Jack shouted echoing in my bathroom. Shit.

“Shhhh! Shhh! Jack quiet down!” I mumbled turning on my sink and plugging it.

“I need to tell you something but you can not, in any circumstances tell anyone! Not even Alex, even if he begs you, even if he says he will give you a date with a hot girl and a million dollars.”

“But-” Jack started.

“NOBODY!” I whisper-yelled. Scratching my vocal chords from last night.

“Okay, Jack. Alex he um.... He kissed me.” I said placing my fingers over my lips remembering my first kiss.

“No friggin’ why?”

“Mhhmm.”

“And how did you feel, was it nice, do you like him, did you kiss him back.” I rolled my eyes, Jack may not be a girl but he sure gossips like one.

“Um I was really surprised but it felt good, it was really nice, and I, I , Um and no I kinda just stood there in shock with wide eyes.” I closed my eyes and hoped he would of just skipped over how I didn’t answer the ‘do you like him?’ question.

“You didn’t answer one, and what did he do explain it.” He giggled, I’m sorry but he GIGGLED. I sighed.

“Um so we were standing at the concert and he had his arms wrapped around me but I was standing infront of me, I guess he was just protecting me, he got the guys pick and then said I want you to have it then he stuck it in my front pocket and he spun me around and wrapped his arms around my waist and kinda kissed me.” I said stopping the sink from over flowing. I hope Alex is still asleep.

“OMG! That is so cute!! A-mazin! So was it like awkward after did you ignore him, what happened?”

“Well I didn’t really know what to do! So I just held his hand in the car then we went up stairs and got into my bed- Jack snickered- And he just wrapped his arms around me and I said you made my birthday extra special and I didn’t regret the kiss, cause I don’t, and now I just needed someone to tell that to.” I said.

“I’m glad you told me, and your secret is safe with me lovey. Well I got to go help my mommy make pancakies, so TTYL.” And I was greeted by the dial tone. I sighed and closed my phone. Did I mention I had no idea what I was suppose to do now. I washed my face and pinned my hand back into a loose bun and tied a bow around it. I walked out of the bathroom gripping my phone.

I walked back into my room and set my phone down. Thankfully Alex was still asleep. I turned to my closet and picked something decent out. As I dropped my robe I heard the sheets rustle. I turned around and saw Alex glancing at me. Oh no. I could feel my cheeks heating up and he smiled.

“Goodmooooorning.” Alex yawned stretching.

“Um, hey.” I said awkwardly, praying I wasn’t looking like an idiot standing here half dressed.

“I’ll turn around.” He said glancing at me up and down.

“Thanks.” I quickly slipped my outfit on and tapped on his shoulder.

“Hello, birthday girl.”

“Hey, hey It was my birthday yesterday!”

“I want to treat you special all the time though!!”

“Thank you, for everything.” I pulled the pick off my nightstand and smiled at Alex.

“I love you Capri, happy birthday. I can’t wait to see what you get me for my birthday.”

“Don’t worry I am so planning for that 36 months away birthday for you.” I smiled and layed down. What was I going to get him? How was I gonna top this off!
