“He has a cuncussion and a broken hand. He’ll be in a cast for a few weeks probably. It doesn’t look like he’ll need to go to any physical therapy.” I hear the dull moan of a mans voice, my insides cringing a little bit from the pain in my head.
“Thank you.”
“Mom?” I groan opening my eyes, the room dark except for a dim lamp on in the corner.
“Oh Baby.” Mom gasps and walks over to me quickly.
“Excuse me.” The doctor exits the room quickly,
“What happened?” I groan and look around.
“A boy at your school attacked you.” She frowns and runs her cool hand along my jaw. “You hit your head really bad.”
“Where’s Rian?” I groan and sit up remembering seeing him afraid, telling me that he loved me, “I remember Rian-”
“He’s at home. Visiting hours are over.” She cuts me off.
“Mom I want to see Rian!” I snap my head spinning slightly,
“Tomorrow honey.” She whispers trying to soothe me. I begin to feel my heart pound in my chest. This is where I’m going to die. The world starts falling apart crushing me where I lay. Pounding the air out of my lungs making me unable to hear anything but the blood rushing through my veins.
“Doctor!” My mother yells and the man rushes in jumbing with the machines attached to my body.
“NO!” I scream at him “STOP!” My mother grabs my shoulders and holds me down in bed,
“Shhh. shhhh calm down.” She mutters trying to calm me as my vision blurrs, the sedative the doctor gave me already starting to kick in.

I open my eyes blinded by a bright light over my head.
“Oh shit.” I hear someone mutter, the light turning off. The hospital room dimly lit by a dull lamp in the corner and the small crack of sunlight breaking through the tick blinds covering the windows. I roll my head to look at whoever just walked in.
I feel the grin spread across my cheeks as my eyes lock with Rians beautiful brown ones.
“I love you too.” Rian smiles a bit and chuckles walking over,
“What?” I laugh with him and hold my hand out for him.
“Do you remember?” He takes it and sits on my bed next to me, “When the paramedics were taking you to the ambulance. You told me I love you.” He laughs,
“Really?” I rack my brain trying to think back on it.
“Yeah. I wasn’t able to tell you, I love you too.” Rian chuckles and looks down at me, “Is there room for me?” He raises an eyebrow.
“What?”
“Alex, you must have really gotten fucked up.” He chuckles, “Scoot over.” I feel my cheeks turn red as I slide over in my bed, admittedly my head hurts a tiny bit. But not nearly as bad as it did when I woke up last time.
“Sorry,” I laugh as she shifts to lay down next to me, Careful of the wires connecting to my arm, monitoring my heart rate and stuff. Rian puts his arm around me and pulls me in tight to his chest.
“You scared me a lot.” He mutters.
“I was alot scared.” I laugh a bit and lean on his shoulder, so my face is close to his jaw, my lips even with his.
“You had every right to be.” Rian frowns a bit.
“Can we not talk about this?” I sigh and look up at him, “I don’t want to try to think about something I don’t remember. It’s making my brain hurt even more then it already does.” my voice comes out in a slight whine.
“Fine.” He smiles a bit and hugs me tighter, closer to him. I can feel the stubble on his cheek close to my lips, he turns his head slightly closer to mine. Both of us want to kiss the other, but I can’t go in for it. The twisting feeling in my stomach is almost hindering as I think of connecting to him.
Rian licks his bottom lip and looks into my eyes, turning his head another slight amount just so that our lips brush against eachother. The feeling in my gut tightening as we close the distance between eachother.
