I look at Alex and he looks at me. Crap! Jack is standing behind me with a huge grin on his face. Alex's mom is standing with my mom looking at us with smiles.

We can't be together! We'll be beaten and bullied! "It's about time!" Jack cheers. Zack comes upstairs and Alex stands next to me. "So you two are together?"

"I guess so." Alex says through clenched teeth. Well, he likes me and I like him. I guess he's pissed off at the timing of everyone walk in here.

Jack cheers and our parents sit in the living room. We head downstairs and Alex leans over to my ear.

"We're screwed for school." He whispers. I nod.

We all gather in the basement and show Zack what we can do. Alex smiles at me while I play the drums and then Alex plays the guitar and sings. Then it's Jack's turn. Alex sits next to me and drapes his arm around my shoulders.

"You guys are good!" Zack comments.

"Let's see what you can do." I say. He nods and plugs his bass into an amp. He plays something on his bass and we clap.

"You're good!" Jack says.

"Good?" Alex asks. I look at Alex who's looking at Zack. "He's amazing! You're in!"

"Sweet!" Zack cheers.

We all basically get to know Zack better. We all sit outside and my mom finally comes outside.

"Bout time." I mutter. Alex smiles and walks over to me. He hugs me and then I head home.

--school--

I see Alex while heading to school and he smiles at me. I stand next to him and he takes my hand, tangling his fingers with mine.

"What did you do about Lisa?" I ask him. He shrugs and looks down. "Did you break up with her?"

"Um... not yet." He says slowly.

"She's going to kill you." I tell him. He lifts our hands up and kisses my hand.

"We'll die together." He says. I blush and realize, we're going to get beaten for being together.

"Are you sure you want to walk to school like this?" I ask. He nods. "Alright."

We walk into school and Jack smiles at us. "You two are adorable. I'm glad you're finally together." Jack says. I look at Alex and he looks down and blushes. How did I get so lucky?

"Alex?" I hear Lisa call. We both turn and see an angry Lisa followed by Erik. Damn it. I let to of his hand, but he grabs my arm and pulls me closer to him, wrapping his arm around my waist. "What are you doing? You're dating me!"

"No, I'm dating Rian." He says confidently. Erik laughs. "Fuck off Erik!" Alex says, flipping him off. I smile at how he's defending us.

"You're straight." Lisa says through clenched teeth.

"No, I'm gay." He says. I bite my lip as Erik eyes me. Who's his target? Alex or me? "C'mon Rian."

We turn and head to the school, Jack walking next to us.

"Rian, wanna hang out later?" Alex asks. I nod and smile at him. "Awesome. Jack you can come too, if you want to."

"Cool. Maybe we should have a hang session and invite Zack too." Jack says. Alex looks at me and I shrug.

"Sure." I say. The bell rings. "Gotta get to class. See ya Lex. Bye Jack." Alex kisses my cheek and head in the other direction with Jack.
