A Little Bit Chilly

Who was Nikki Southway?
She was beautiful. She was sweet. She was wary when I had first approached her, but she was nice. So very nice. She opened up to me. She told me how she became what she was today.
I wanted to see her again. Oh, did I want to see her again.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
"Nikki!" I shouted. She was ahead of me with her styrofoam try in her hands, her long, curly brown hair hanging loosely down her back.
She turned. Her hair (I loved it so much, I didn't know exactly why) flew aside and over her shoulder. I had met her once; I wanted to meet her again.
"Hey," I smiled and waved. She waved back, her dainty hand lifting in the air and flicking gently. She smiled.
I turned and continued walking towards the picnic table occupied by Jack, Vic Funetes, and Kellin Quinn.
"Ah, so I see you met the lady," Jack mumbled through his pancakes as I sat across from him and next to Vic.
"That I did," I nodded, opened my milk carton. It felt like highschool all over again.
"And she is pretty darn nice," I continued. "Glad you ditched me."
"It was intentional."
"I realized."
