We had finally reached the Wisconsin date.

August 2nd, 2012. The day we'd be playing in our hometown for thousands. I was pumped. I was more than pumped, I was ecstatic and I was ready to fucking destroy Milwaukee.

I was so ready. I was going to show all those people that you can come out of the shittiest state ever, and make it somewhere.

But, as we were getting set up and preparing to take the stage, I saw it happen:

I saw Nikki kiss Alex.

I was a raging beast on stage. I didn't do that show for myself at that point. Not for the fans. Not for Nikki. I did it for no one. Because I officially had no one.

I threw my arms down as hard as I could, smashing one drumstick against one of the crashes and the other agaisnt the snare. My legs slammed down in a "One-e-and-ah-two-e-and-ah" 16th beat pattern, harder than ever.

I repeated in my head. I concentrated on the 16 beat pattern in the chorus, before switching back to the basic, One, two, three, four, two, two, three, four beat.

The sun was shining down hard and hot. The crowd was louder than ever. I could hear them over my tormented drumming. They were in love with Nikki.
