Alex POV
After we had told my parents what ideas we had for baby names we went straight back to my room, Jack fell asleep almost instantly. I held the ultrasound picture of Lollipops. I got up carefully as not to wake Jack and got out my diary and started writing in it.
So today I was in shock I found out that I was pregnant. I was shocked. I was scared and surprized. I loved this little thing that was growing inside of me; it was the most amazing feeling in the world I had never felt like this before. All I wanted to do was protect it more than anything.
I cut out one of the ultrasound pictures and stuck it in.
Me and Jack discussed baby names. For a boy we decided on Thomas-Edward Bassam Peter –Gaskarth-Barakat and for a girl we decided on Jasey-Rae Isobel Joyce Gaskarth-Barakat.
I closed my diary and put it under the bed and wrapped my arms around Jack and soon fell asleep. I woke up before Jack, I watched him for a few minutes then I got bored so decided to wake Jack up by kissing him.
“Hey!” He yelled “I was sleeping”
“Are you saying that you don’t enjoy being woken up to me kissing you?” I questioned
“Nope, I really enjoy it” He laughed. I then climbed on top of him he seemed to enjoyed it then my mum called us downstairs.
“Alex, Jack comes downstairs please, I have something for you” I and Jack ran downstairs to see what my mum had for us. She handed us some money “That’s for baby things”
“Thanks mum” we both ran upstairs and got dressed. “Mum me and Jack are going out, we are going to buy some baby things”
“Okay have fun” My mum yelled as we walked out the door. I and Jack walked to the baby store. We saw a white sleepsuit with bunnies on it and a matching blanket. Placed them in the basket.
“Right Jack as much as we need baby clothes we need other things as well such as bottles and a sterilizer” We walked around the shop and found a sterilizer that came with bottles we put that in the basket also. We walked up to the till the cashier gave us a really dirty look. “Do you have a problem?” I asked
“Yes I do” Came his snarky reply
“What with?” I asked smugly although I already knew what his issue was. It was the fact that I and Jack were gay.
“That you are gay” He replied
“Well that is really quite homophobic”
“Well it is wrong”
“Why is it wrong” I asked but before she could answer we walked out the shop with our baby things.
“Hey I will ask mum if we can have Mays old buggy, she doesn’t use it any more” Jack told me
“Okay well that sounds good to me “We walked to Jacks house and walked in. His mum was in the living room.
“Hey mom”
“Hello Jack, hello Alex what do you want Jack?” She asked
“Did we bring Mays old buggy when we moved here?” He asked
“Yes, but she doesn’t need it anymore”
“Can I and Alex have it for the baby please?”
“Yes you can. I will just go and get it for you” She walked out the room and came back a few minutes later with the buggy.
“Thank-you so much Joyce” me and Jack pushed the buggy back to my house “Mum!” I shouted “come downstairs please?”
“What is it?” She asked
“Look at what I and Jack have for the baby, Joyce gave us the buggy” I pulled the sleep-suit and blanket out of the bag. “We saw these and just had to get them they are so cute and they match” I folded them up and put them back into the bag and took out the steriliser “We also brought this”
“They can go in the kitchen on the counter top” My mum said I took the steriliser out to the kitchen.
“The buggy is Mays old one she doesn’t need it anymore. So I asked my mum if we could have it”
“That was nice of her”
