Toms POV
“Do you want to walk home or would you like me to call mum to come and pick us up?” Alex asked
“I think I will walk. It will be nice to get some fresh air; will you and Jack walk with me?”
“Yes we sure will Tom” Alex answered. Me, Alex and Jack walked out of the hospital. At that point I was happier than I have ever been. I felt on top of the world. When we arrived home “Tom I have something for you wait there” Alex told me excitedly he then ran up the stairs.
“What is he doing “I asked Jack
“I have no idea” Jack replied. That was when Alex came running in. He gave me something all wrapped up. I took it off him and unwrapped it excitedly it was a guitar.
“Thank you so much Alex, I love it I can finally start playing again hospital helped me realize I can allow myself to take joy in music again weather its listening or playing. I forgot how good it feels to play. Thank you so much Alex” I told him while giving him a hug. I then started playing the guitar. Alex went to his room and grabbed his guitar. We started playing again. We played some Blink songs and some Greenday.
“Tom, Alex, Jack” I heard my mum yell upstairs.
“Yes mum we are up stairs” my mum came up the stairs.
“It was so nice hearing you both playing again. That’s something I haven’t heard in a long time. It was lovely to come home to”
“Okay mum stop being embarrassing now” Alex told her
“Okay fine. Tom what would you like for tea?” she asked
“Ummm I dunno. How about toad in the hole it’s my favourite and hospital food is rank”
“Okay” she replied as she walked downstairs.
“She is right you know. It is nice when we play together. We should do it more often”
“Well why don’t you come down to the cellar, we can record something and put it on our YouTube channel”
“Yea sure sounds great let’s go down there now while mum cooks dinner”
“Yea sounds awesome “Came Alex’s reply we walked downstairs and down the cellar steps.
“Wow did dad do all this for you?” I asked
“Yea well for me and the band”
“Why?” I asked
“Because you were being all bitchy about us playing. So dad converted it for us and gave us somewhere more permanent to play. Save us keep moving all our equipment around”
“I guess he is right”
“What song would you like to do?” Alex asked me.
“Either Blink or Greenday you can choose from any of those” I replied “We always enjoyed playing Blink and Greenday”
“Why don’t we do both a Blink and Greenday song” Came Alex’s reply
“Sounds like a plan” I told him. He set the camera to record. We recorded a few songs Alex and Jack uploaded the songs to the bands YouTube channel”
“Jack, Alex, and Tom Dinner “My mum yelled down to us.
“Coming” we all yelled up together. We put down all the equipment that we were using and walked upstairs to the kitchen. Dinner smelt really good but maybe that was because I was used to hospital food. “Dinner smells wonderful mum” I told her. Jack looked at his plate with a strange look on his face. When Alex saw it he began to giggle.
“Alex why are you laughing at me” Jack asked
“The look on your face babe”
“Well I dint have toad in the hole in America it’s just a bit strange”
“Taste it you will love it babe” He then tried it.
“Oh my god!” he yelled “It’s amazing”
“Glad you like it Jack” Alex replied my mum just smiled at him. Seeing everyone so happy made me happy as well. Then we heard a knock at the door. “Ohh that must be the guys for band practice” Alex got up to let them in.
“We are so glad you are better now Tom” Both Rain and Zack said
“Hey Tom would you like to come and watch us play?” Alex asked
“I sure would” With that I followed them down to the cellar.
