We had an assembly in the afternoon for the whole school. I was up for a couple of awards. One being for having most school spirit and the other being most improved student. I knew I had to make a speech. I knew exactly what I was going to say. Every year 11 student was looking forward to the prom. I was waiting in line to receive my award. “The award for most improved student goes to Alexander Gaskarth. Mr Gaskarth would you like to say a few words” Mr Hall the head teacher asked.
“yes” I stepped up to the microphone “ I would like to thank my friends for helping me so a big thanks goes out to Zack Merrick, Rian Dawson, Tay Jardine , Cassadee Pope. I would like to send out a huge thanks to my boyfriend Jack Barakat. I have one last thing to ask Jack will you come to prom with me”
“I sure as hell will my hunny bunny” I heard him yell from the back of the hall. I got some evil stares as if to say what I was doing was wrong but I didn’t care I was on top of the world. Jack was my Wendy. I was his Peter Pan. I hope that someday we can run away to Neverland or at least to my paradise. That gave me an idea for some lyrics I wrote them down. (Come with me I’ll take you there to a place where we don’t have to care we’ll sit and watch the world go by welcome to my paradise) After the awards I met up with Jack, Rian, Zack, Cassadee and Laura.
“Well done” They all told me. We then me up with Tom.
“Well done bro. This is the first time someone has won three awards and don’t worry what anyone else thinks about you and Jack so long as you are both happy. If anyone says anything I will teach them a lesson no one messes with my little brother.” That’s when we ran into Mark.
“Hi Baratwat, Gayskarth. I think it was horrifyingly disgusting what you did in assembly. It shouldn’t be allowed. It wrong if you are gay keeps the relationship to yourselves. Don’t flaunt it in front of the whole fucking school” At that point I decided to give Jack a kiss. I heard Mark walk away rather rapidly. Me and Jack both giggled we didn’t care what Mark thought or anyone. We were happy together and that is all that mattered. Me and Jack we loved each other.
