Get On Your Knees and Tell Me That You Love Me

The Twist Of Fate

I told her no. It was a school night, we were underage, everything in the situation would take a major left compared to right. There were chances of us getting figured out, the fake ID's could totally bomb. We were screwed.

My sister came in my room a winter night. I was studying for a History test. "It's Friday night," she rested against the end of my bed. "why are you studying?"

I turned around to face her, away from my desk. "Because some people actually want to make it into a nice college."

"It's your junior year, it's the slacking year! When I was a junior, that's all I did." Molly was a senior. She wasn't the smartest or the stupidest. She was Molly.

"Every year is slacking year for you, Molls." I said with sarcastic smile.

She narrowed her eyes. "You really need to loosen up. Listen, Dallas wants to go this club. Apparently it just opened and everyones who anyone goes. I'm giving you 20 minutes to get ready."

I gaped at her and shook my head. "I really can't... I need to study. This test counts as 10% of my grade for the semester."

"We'll be back by 2. You don't have to drink."

"What if we get caught?" I protested.

She started walking to the door. "We won't. You still got your ID right?"

"The one Roger made me?"

She nodded.

"Yeah." I stood up, closing my book. I looked at it. I felt guilt bubbling in my stomach. "Wait, I told Bailey I would come and stay at her house tonight. I don't want to ditch her." I lied. I didn't even have a friend named Bailey.

She paused and narrowed her eyes. "You're terrible at lying. Get sexy!"

Molly and I had grown up like twins. My mom had planned on having twins when she was younger, but ended up with Molly. Having a pair of kids a year apart was the best thing she could pull off.

Although living in the same uterus- at different times, and having the same father, Molly wasn't anything like me. She was the opposite if anything. Although we both were in the same social class, it was for different reasons. She was popular for her looks and partying, whereas I was popular for being friends with everyone and having good grades.

Molly was my best friend, and I was hers. We used to get teased by our friends, but they got used to it. Well that and Molly had ignored them for weeks until Sierra, one of our good friends, apologized.

When we got to the club, I was already about to die of the cold. I had put on a beaded tanktop on with black leggings. I tied my hair in a tight ponytail.

The line was huge, but it went by quickly. When we got ID'ed out side of the entrance I could smell the alcohol and feel the bass. Great. Crappy techno, just how to loosen up, right?

We got in, and I found a place to sit with a Coke in my hand. I watched the crowd with boredness. I saw a group of younger girls, probably around my age, start gasping and pointing to a certain direction. I saw a guy move into a crowd, obviously having some sort of fame. Why would a famous person be in Ohio? I sighed and stood up. Maybe Molly would know who he was.

I grabbed my coke and walked into the crowd. I bumped into someone with a hard chest. My coke dumped all over my tanktop.

"Great," I groaned. I looked up.

"Sorry," it was the famous dude. "I'll get you a new... Coke?" he looked at me with eyes that said 'Coke at a club? Way to be a buzzkill.'

"I don't drink." I explained.

He smiled back.

I was going to ask him his name, but I really didn't have to; The group of girls yelled, "Jack!"

He chuckled as he turned around. "Isn't it past your bedtimes?"

The girls were smiling so wide I wondered if their cheeks were hurting.

One of the blonde ones spoke, "Why are you in Ohio?"

"If I tell you, I might have to kill you." he joked.

"I wouldn't mind that." one of the girls winked at him.

"The bands here for personal shit." he shrugged and took a sip of whatever he was holding. So he was in a band.

"Can we take a picture with you?" The redhead asked. ...A famous band.

"Of course." he smiled.

"Can you take the picture?" The blonde asked me.

I blinked. "What? Oh. Yeah." I smiled softly. I took the camera. The three girls stood near Jack. I snapped the pictures (they took 2, one smiling and one doing silly faces) and they ran off saying goodbye.

"Sorry 'bout that." He said.

"So you're in a band?" I asked, nodding slowly and approving.

"Yeah. It's called All Time Low."

I suddenly realized who he was. Molly's first ever real celebrity crush. The Party Scene was all I would ever hear three years ago in '06. Jack Barakat. Guitarist of All Time Low.

I gulped, "Would you run away in fear if I told you that my older sister was a former fan girl of yours?"

I watched as Jack shook with laughter. "Not at all. I mean, is she cute?"

I saw Molly walk in my direction. She stopped when she saw who I was talking to. She gaped and slowly sighed.

"She's right behind you." I pointed at her.

He glanced behind his shoulder. He looked back at me. "You're cuter." He mumbled.

A tiny smile spread across my lips. "So are you going to be buy me my coke, or what?"

His eyes brightened and he nodded. "I'm actually going to head out. Give me your number though. I want to have lunch with you or something tomorrow."

"So sudden. Did I scare you off?" I asked, 50% jokingly, 50% serious.

"Not even close."

~

I spent the rest of the night waiting for a phone call. I had to let Jack know that I was only 16. He'd probably never talk to me again, but I didn't care. He had to know the truth.

We'll have to see how the ending turns out! If it ends up going as I plan, there wouldn't be a cliff hanger, so it wouldn't need a sequel. But i can always go a complete 180°! thanks for your feed back:)
I loved this update. You should write a sequel when you finish this. Good job.
