"I understand mum." Alex put a hand through his hair, pacing the bus. The rest of the band was listening to the conversation in the back lounge. Something had to be going on, since we knew Alex was never this strung out. "I'll talk to Matt." He sighed, sitting down on his bunk. "Love you too." Alex hung up the phone, looking our direction. "You guys were listening the whole time?" He asked, picking himself back up, then plopping next to me.
"You were sounding like when you were in your 'bad' times." Jack stated quietly, probably scared for his best friend.
"My grandfather died." Alex looked at the ground, rubbing his hands on his jeans. We all must of had the same idea, because a couple seconds later he was in the middle of a group hug. "Matt, is there anyway I can go out there?" He sighed, leaning into my side. I wrapped my arms around his torso, him leaning into the crook of my neck.
"If Kass doesn't mind covering for you, we can still continue tour." Matt spit out, and I probably looked terrified because Matt gave me a look of sympathy. I just joined this band a month ago, and i'm already going to sing alone? I had to do it for Alex though.
"You need to be there." I said to Alex, looking down at him.
"Will you guys be okay without me? I mean I would have to leave tonight and all." He questioned, moving out of my embrace.
"We love you dude, go say hi to your mom for me. Bring back some food!" Rian said, totally getting off topic. He rolled his eyes as he kissed my cheek, already getting ready to pack.
"Don't worry Kass. He's strong." Rian said to me, making me sigh.
"I know. That's what scares me."

"So I guess this is goodbye for a week." Alex said, talking to me. Everyone else has already made their goodbyes and I was the last one left, only a few minutes until his flight is announced.
"I guess it is." I looked down, knowing I was already tearing up. He put a finger under my chin, making me look at him.
"Hey, don't cry. You'll make me cry." He chuckled, some tears in his eyes. I hugged him tightly, and he squeezed my figure.
"Will you text me when you land?" I sniffled, looking up at him.
"Of course gorgeous. Take care of Jack for me. Don't worry about being alone, Zack agreed to come up and help a bit on stage." He smiled.
"Fight 307 this is final boarding." The speakers spitted out, and I knew he had to leave.
"Don't miss me too much." He whispered, kissing me passionately. I kissed back, and a couple seconds he separated, walking towards the boarding. He blew me a kiss while he walked through, making me smile.
"Are you ready Kass?" Matt came up from behind, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Ready as i'll ever be." I said, taking my eyes off the boarding area. We walked back to the bus and headed off to the concert, which I now had to do alone. We convinced to make Alex take off before, so he didn't have the stress of the show on his shoulders as well. Once we arrived at the venue, we ran in to get ready, since it was only a hour to show time and we had to really hurry. Everyone changed quickly and soon enough it was ten minutes to. Everyone had instruments in hand, except Rian of course, but he had his sticks.
"You'll be fine." Jack tried to reassure me, knowing he was trying to be the serious one right now.
"So many things could go wrong." I muttered, pacing the backstage area.
"But they won't. You have Zack until you can handle it. Nothing is going to go wrong." He tried again, but it didn't help my nerves.
"ALL TIME LOW!" The crowd was chanting, knowing that was our cue to come out. I took a deep breath, walking up to the microphone alone. The crowd seemed to look for Alex, and once they realized he wasn't coming they wanted answers. Yells erupted through the crowd, chanting 'Gaskarth'
"Hey fuckers!" Jack yelled, causing some of the girls to scream.
"We've had some last minute set changes for tonight. I hope you guys can understand what's going on!" I announced into the microphone, giving them a moment. "Alex had to fly out home, he lost someone recently in his family, and we didn't want to cancel the show for you guys. So were going to go on, with these assholes!" I screamed, causing the crowd to come back up with cheers. I smirked as we started Weightless, and it went on from there.
