5 years ago, Jessica Nash went looking for her father, whom she had never met, she found out that she had a brother. That brother is Alex Gaskarth. She then meets Rian Dawson, who instantly becomes her best friend. She also meets Zack Merrick and instantly falls in love with him. But then there's Jack Barakat. And Jack doesn't like being left out. He feels as if Jess will replace him, but he also likes her, and hates Zack for asking her out first. And this is Jack we're talking about, he wont dare tell anyone how he feels, so he does the first, most unreasonable thing that he can think of. He murders someone. The 5 of them go on the run. But after seeing an interview with his victims family, he regrets everything and turns himself in. He gets 25 years with parole at 5 years.

5 years later and Jack is released. But a few changes have been made. Jess and Zack are married. Rian and Alex are closer than ever. So once again, Jack feels lonely. Jess also feels lonely, she can't tell anyone how she felt when she kissed Jack. And when two lonely people are left in a room together, anything could happen and when feelings get involved, someone always gets hurt. But who's heart gets broken?
