(Jack's POV)

"Alex please. P-please wake up."

I heard Heaven sob, clutching onto her brothers hand. My heart hurt for her. I walked around to the other side of his hospital bed and whispered in his ear.

"Lex, wake up. For your sister. You have to do it, just do it for her, please." I kissed him softly and looked up to see his heart monitor started to speed up. It was slow at first, almost lifeless. But when I kissed him it sped up letting me know he heard me, felt me, and he's actually alive.

A single tear rolled down my cheek as his eyes fluttered open and Heaven smiled brightly and hugged Larissa and that made Alex smile softly.

"Lexy what the fuck happened to you?" I whisper yelled roaming my hands all up and down his body and rubbed his cheek with my thumb.

"I was a dumbass and faced my fear of heights and I may or may not have fallen."

I laughed and kissed his hand just above where the IV was.

"What damage has been done doctor?" I asked as a tall male walked in known as Dr. Kohler sat down on a chair and looked at his chart.

"Well Alex seems to have a mild concussion. three broken ribs, and he fractured his femur."

I winched at just how much damage was done to Alex but he seemed like he didn't care.

"As long as I have pain medication I could care less." Alex said smiling as he gently pulled Heaven into his side.

Dr. Kohler laughed and stood up.

"Well Alex seems perfectly healthy enough to go home so let's get him checked out so y'all can go back to his hotel I am guessing."

We all nodded and I helped Lex sit up and slowly move into a wheelchair. He winced in pain and my hands retracted back to my sides and he chuckled kissing me on the cheek.

(Alex's POV)

After three more days of staying in Florida so I could finish up training even after Captain insisted I went home early, I insisted that I get my certification to be an EMT. I worked way too hard to not get this.

After Jack walked into our house, me slightly limping cause hello boot on my foot, Jack softly pushed me against the wall and kissed me.

"I missed having you here. The bed got cold." He murmured against my lip, softly sucking it into his mouth.

"M missed you too sugar."

"I'm so proud of you, Lex." Jack said as he helped me up the stairs to our bedroom and I laid down onto the king size bed softly.

Jack propped my left leg up on a pillow then curled up next to me after softly kissing all over my chest, me slightly wincing at the pain but giving him a small smile letting him know I was okay.

"You need pain medicine?" He asked and I nodded.

"Can you bring me a coke too, please baby?" Jack nodded and padded down the stairs to the kitchen leaving me staring at the wall humming softly to myself.

After a few mins, Jack walked in with his hand closed holding some pills and Coke in a glass how I like to drink it.

"Thanks baby cakes." I said smiling as I quickly swallowed the pills.

"Come cuddle with me." I said making grabby hands at him.

He nodded and laid down, placing a long body pillow in between us so if I rolled over it would hurt that bad.

"I'm glad you're okay Lexy." He whispered while we watched Armageddon on the TV.

"I know." I said equally as quiet, trying to ignore the pain and focus on this beautiful human being curled up next to me.

I've had so much going on this past week from being depressed as fuck, to hanging out with my friend, to doing a co-write which you all should read, i'll link it down below, to writing an All Time Low Columbine school shooting based one-shot.
