Knots in the Ties - Comments

@JagkBaraSlut
I might. I'm busy right now with school which is why all of my stories are really late. I don't like the fact that I didn't finish the sequel, but I want to rewrite this. I'll put this with the other stories that I want to write for the summer.

Well, Alice-Anna St. is the street my other favorite band is named after, Alesana.
Our school doesn't do any competition, but I think Newton Falls which is a town over and where my dad lives got to learn how to play All the Small Things. My friend Shelby told me since she's in band, and I was like gurl, why couldn't I have gotten to play stuff like that. Our school isn't that large either. In fact, it's a school for Leavittsburg and Braceville with kids from Warren, Champion, and Newton Falls kids. The only big thing our school has ever done is have our basketball team go to state last year, which I didn't care for since I hate LaBrae anyway.
Your guy's band sounds a lot more fun. Hell, if it wasn't for me being so much into art class, I'd still be in it if we did stuff like that. The closest fun stuff is sometimes they get to go to New York if they have money, but mostly Cedar Point.

Really? that sounds kinda boring :P we always played something new and different, so that people would actually show up to class and played the competition songs in practice when the whole band was together. Like when we were in gr.10 the band I was in, was invited to come play in Disney land, so we learned lots of the Disney songs and the person that used to do the voice of Donald duck was our adjudicator and it was so awesome to meet him.
And sure it's not cause of ATL ;) I toatly would to if I could haha

I actually just looked it up because I was pretty sure that universities are just bigger and that's what it is. A university is like a bunch of colleges together. Colleges have more specific degrees and universities have a bunch more. I plan on going to a university, and I sooo don't just want to go to the University of Baltimore because of ATL. Oh no..... Alice-Anna St. is in Baltimore too. Lol
We learn scales when we first start learning the instrument. There aren't really any to actually tune like a guitar, so we never learned that, but sometimes they will see if we'd play our flutes in tune. I only had that happen once, while my sister's class had that happen more because she had a different teacher. Although, scales we didn't focus on. Once year they were just used as warm ups. We were just told how they work, and so it wasn't something we focused on. Our school mostly just does the songs that they have to do for the next concert over and over again. Then sometimes we'd go into the book as well to practice, but they don't do that much anymore. Although this year they will have weekly tests on new notes which is different since we have never had any tests at all in band.

Same here with the ATL fans thing.. but I've always wondered what the differance is in between University and a College
And their not actually together, it's just required so they have less to teach and and saves you the time and money

Yeah, when I had to look up the two colleges I would go too, bass isn't listened. Bass isn't an instrument that is for song writing or anything like that. Piano and guitar are though. The colleges have the classical thing going on. My actually school only has band which is marching band and concert band. I played flute from 4th grade to 8th and became first chair, but I quit because I hate marching band so much. We also don't have a choir too. The middle school used to have one, but she retired when I was in 7th grade, I think. Our school is more of a basketball school and only a couple of people actually know who ATL are. Everyone likes country, and if they like rock it's not the kind I like. When I looked up the two colleges, choir and band were separate. That's actually the first time that I've heard of them being together.

well those classes are the really high smartass classes and yeah I had to do that in my CALM class but it didn't really help... But I do play the flute, so that helps with the college thing but to do anything with playing an instrument you also need the choir class so they know that you know how to tune properly with your ears instead of a tuner, plus all the scales and stuff.
And it probably doesn't help that I skipped the last two months of school after band tour (for personal reasons that no one knows about)
Though I think it's kinda weird that the bass isn't licensed, cause the school I go to, there's a Rock n Pop class and they usually gets recommended if they're good enough so...

I see your dilemma. I don't know the level of those classes because that's not what we call them here. I do know how difficult the classes her are suppose to be. You have to be able to play one of the instruments like an expert, and that's why I can't go to college for music. I play bass, and it's not one of the instruments that are listened. The cool thing about music though is that there are so many elements that go into it.
I'm not really good at giving advice, so the only thing that I would do is do research. One of the little projects we had to do in English last year was look up a bunch of stuff about colleges and our future jobs. We had to be two jobs and write down what we need to know and pay, and we also had to write down two colleges for both with all of the info including prices.

But that's the thing, I can't see myself doing anything. I mean like I love music and playing music, but for anything with music I would need to complete English 30-1 along with Math30 and Music theory 30 (I suck at everything)

Don't worry. You still have time. Lol. Writing wasn't my first choice. I always wanted to be a singer, and then in a band, and then a writer, and then a manga artist. It wasn't until my sophomore yer that my teacher got me back into writing, and now I'm going to secretly try to get into music during college since I was inspired after going to band happy. My parents would kill me if they knew I wanted to try to make music my career. They failed at it, and they don't want that to happen to me.
When it comes to the future, I would say think of the thing that you always do that makes you happy. It would be music, science, helping others. Focus on that one thing and try to make it your life. You have to be able to see yourself doing it.

I'm actually really excited because this is the last year of going to school in Ohio. I actually want to go to college in Maryland. I really can't wait to leave. Ohio sucks. Lol. That and I'm getting two tattoos for my birthday in October.
Oh, and because school is starting up, my updates should be more frequent. I write in library, and I'll be a helper again this year.

I could make something like a series of one-shots that are in between Knots in the Ties and it's sequel after the sequel and maybe some during it. Schools starting up, so I might write one-shots when I'm not doing anything in class. (Senior year. Mostly just extra classes by the same teacher.) I already have a couple ideas when when she meets her best friend and goes to magick school for the first time. Thanks for the idea!

Then maybe after you could write a Prequel on how they go about raising their daughter and how they tell everyone and how they react ;) just a thought

Well, Zack and Rian aren't going to be in the sequel, but I could put them in. There is a time skip, and in the summary or chapter one how they stayed in that world. She's 17, and All Time Low is over, but they do still hang with Rian and Zack, and everyone else. They were their life before, so they are allowed to know and visit. Alex and Jack also go to the normal world to visit as well.
